![]() Logic dictates that something went wrong with that patch. Originally posted by Antishyr:We nerfed them on December 1st. Oh, besides stun, burning mana and silencing the ability probably helps too. Probably not directly adaptable to this gameplay though :) Some other games would have affinities for weapons based on the type/element of an enemy affecting the armour or weapon bonus (eg fire enemy, while often applying the opposite against water). It might be a neat mode/feature to build up resist or bonus against certain monsters that repeatedly end runs. Just gets a little weird I guess when the game gets to a point that you seem to have a solid team against everything but one special type that completely decimates an army haha. I get that its tough balancing though and it's good that there's a variety of monsters with abilities to counter or be challenging for certain builds, that's ok. ![]() Mutation abilities like stuns make a big difference (in the regular game modes you can try get stun abilities prior to that point and should be ok). Eventually they're a non-issue and you can fight them with hunger/starvation no problem. In crazy mode at least, this isn't so bad once you've got passed the early rooms. I think they were only showing up in altar rooms, so I'd avoid those initially and ensure I had a fully fed team before entering, as the armour and damage reductions can really set you back and cascade. If that's not capable of taking one out, it can be up to 1k almost AoE damage, so shooters are spread out and usually 1-2 die, which is ok so long as the next room isn't the same enemy and you get to a shop room in time to restock. ![]() I've had some success with 5 shooters for the 70% attack speed buff with the added attack speed mutation and armor mutations maxed out ASAP and them with some heavy hitters. I've been playing the crazy mode lately and if unlucky before getting some altar rooms or additional tokens (despite the 800+ headstart), you're kind of forced early on to build a large army capable of taking some hits from their attack or able to take at least one out before the burrow attack. ![]() ![]() They're still quite capable of wiping out an army that otherwise seems invincible/untouched by pretty much everything else encountered up to that point. ![]()
